It’s the individual touches in the rooms and suites that really inspire you at Kristiania Lech. Every room takes you on its own “Grand Tour”. Your hand will glide over the chiselled woods, delicate tapestries and tribal designs of Africa…or skim across the vases, spicy colour cues and Zen layout of Asia…or stroke your chin in wonder as you admire the art and the view. This is not a room or a suite, it’s an experience that touches your senses and your spirit!

SPECIALITY SUITES: But there’s something else that’s more difficult to put into words. It’s to do with feeling at home as soon as you settle into an elegantly upholstered sofa, a vintage Hoffmann or Gio Ponti chair or a cosy fur covered deck chair on your private terrace with its ridiculously beautiful view. An atmosphere inspired by a love for travel, contemporary art, antiques, design and history. Each suite is the hotel in miniature. It's original, it's fun and it's about Austrian lifestyle.

Our cuisine will have you coming back for more!

All options are on the cards when it comes to our culinary concept. For refined nights there is Alpine Fine Dining, for adventurous days there is international cuisine, for I-feel-sehr-Austrian days there is the Kaminzimmer, for keeping things cool there is Othmar's Cocktail Bar in summer… and for everything in between there is the possibility to have what you want, wherever you want it! The only things that stay the same is the timeless touch of our chefs, the artisanal producers who we have been collaborating with since the 60’s, the privacy, the cosy environment, and that view that would make your jaw drop even if the cuisine wasn’t as delicious as it is.


BREAKFAST. WHENEVER. WHATEVER. - Our most flexible meal of the day (or night) will have your imagination run wild. Will you have breakfast in bed?

NEVER SKIP LUNCH - It doesn’t matter how heavy your breakfast was, you’ll never want to skip lunch at Kristiania. Perhaps you can still squeeze in a butter schnitzel? A little lighter? How about oysters, salmon or trout? Well then, at least a dessert or some local cheese! Whatever you choose, our menu will include an enchanting view of Lech and a style that blends Austrian and international cuisine.

AN EXTRA SLICE OF CAKE - Maybe you’ve been on the slopes or maybe you’ve just finished the dessert you had for lunch. Either way, our afternoon tea and cake is a ritual that every guest looks forward to.

KRISTIANIA DAS RESTAURANT: At first, it’s the view that will delight you. Lech chocolate box style houses and its church are so close you feel you could reach out and touch them. In the evening contemporary art in contrast with the soft glow of a sea of candles sets the atmosphere. These days, so many restaurants bang a big drum about their "local, seasonal and fresh" approach. Honestly, why would you eat any other way?

KAMINZIMMER - When paradise is a Fondue and a glass of red wine: The cozy Kaminzimmer is as easy and effortless luxury. In the mood for a Fondue - Swiss style? Craving a Club sandwich? Pining for Fondue Chinoise or Raclette? We can do that and more, while you dream away in mid century atmosphere in front of the open fire place. But even here in Kaminzimmer we cut no corners. You’ll find special a cheese composition in the Fondue that took our chefs months of patient experimentation to perfect. And if you’re curious about the Austrian wine scene – just say the word. It’s your vacation.

THE ROTE BAR - Whatever happened to classic and discreet hotel bars? Hiding in plain sight, the "Rote Bar" nestles in the heart of the Schneider Family's original designed chalet that became a hotel in 1968. It’s a real insiders’ bar, a shrine to classic cocktail culture. Dedicated to those who have spent a liftetime chasing the ultimate Manhattan or the non plus ultra Negroni, the bar’s name pays tribute to its colour. A rich and elegant burgundy with a wonderfully aged but glamorous feel.

KRISTIANIA IN-ROOM DINING - Breakfast in bed, anybody? On a chilly winter or summer morning, enjoy a cosy breakfast in bed. Or after a long day on the mountain, unwind with a relaxing family dinner in your guest room or suite. Simply choose from our 24-hour In-Room Dining menu and we’ll deliver a delicious Kristiania style experience.

KRISTIANIA PRIVATE DINING - Privacy you can feel and touch: We have to admit – private dinner invitations and events are one of our favorite things in the world. Private moments are something magical and utterly luxurious. There is no rulebook or special formula. However, we listen to your story first to be able to make your dreams come true according to your expectations, needs and budgets.

KRISTIANIA CARTE BLANCHE - Is there a secret menu? Taste the bold, savory highlights of the Kristiania young chef's cuisine – The carte blanche is a special surprise tasting menu. Effortless delicious. The Otto Wagner furniture, Hagenauer object's d'art and views on Lech and of the surrounding mountains complete the meal.

Othmar's Cocktail bar - How about an Alpine Negroni or Old Fashion during mountain sunset while Frank Sinatra's "Blue Moon" or Dean Martin's "C'est si bon" sounds play on the gramophone. At Kristiania, everything feels possible. Our butlers will take care of you (and your dog’s) every need – including your artistic needs as we believe art is a necessity. You can also get your adrenalin pumping during outdoor activities, get romantic with a cinema under the stars, sip champagne on a Moroccan rug in the snow or mountain meadow, switch to hipster mode with your private DJ and much, much more.

BUTLER SERVICES - Why only one Butler?
Ski & bike butler: We can source the skis or mountain bike just right for you and have them cleaned, tuned and ready for your run on the pistes or mountain trails. You can also expect tips and that little extra.
Reading butler: There’s really no need to bring a book to Kristiania. All you need to do is ask our reading butler for your author or book of choice and we will do the rest.
Dog butler: Your pooch will want to join this winter or summer break. Tails will be wagging on designer equipment, during dinning, dog photography sessions and along recommended walks.

OUTDOOR & NATURE & WELLBEING
Lech Card: If you spend a long weekend in Lech (2 nights or more), you will benefit from a "gesamt" package. The services included promote environmentally-friendly mobility as well as your desire for spontaneous activities.
Scenic Cinema: Get cosy underneat a fluffy duvet on your lounger. Watch an extraordinary evening skyscape in between viewing your favourite flick at our outdoor cinema. This private experience includes a flying dinner, drinks of choice and elegant fires to warm the ambience.
Skyspace Lech: Watch the sky! World-famous American artist James Turrell designed a Lightroom where sky and earth seem to encounter one another from a new point of view in the high alpine landscape of Lech.
Forest Retreat: Follow our private guide into the serenity of the forest, where you can set your mind free (and your body, if you wish to dip into the river). Expect an invigorating and restorative experience in nature… and for that little extra adventure you can cross-country ski or hike to the destination. This is an ideal option for those seeking a meditative escape away from civilisation.
A Taste of the Past: Take a snowshoe hike to Bürstegg where you will experience the first Walser settlement in Lech. Once you arrive, you will be greeted with a historic mountain picnic including traditional bread, homemade butter and regional sausages. You will also enjoy a warm alpine foot ritual (Holzbottiche) once back at the hotel. To ensure your feet stay warm, you will also be given a pair of alpine knitted socks as a souvenir.
Deer Watching: Our local hunter will take you on an alpine safari into the hidden wonders of the Austrian wild. During your expedition, you will learn the skills of animal tracking and have a chance to take a deer shot (with your camera that is!).
The Mountain Hermit Foraging: Get to know the secrets of the mountain hermit by understanding how to forage for winter and summer delicacies, precious bark and other forest naturals and by learning how to use them for culinary delights and health elixirs.
Going Slow in the Snow or Slow down in Summer: Who says you have to speed down a ski run? Or run up mountain trails in summer? Perhaps you simply want to lie back in a chaise longue (or a designer deckchair) in the snow or in a preaceful garden, wrapped in a duvet and warmed with the help of a hot water bottle and vin chaud (or Alpine Negroni) in winter and invigorated with a cooling "Spritz" in summer. Rest your eyes or dip into the book recommended by our reading butler.
Kabi & Bath: Who says you can’t eat, drink, meet friends, fall in love and stay healthy all at the same time? Our Kabi & Bath is a treatment with focus on you; enjoy a delicious Kabinett wine tasting during a warm and smoothing foot bath on our terrace in the afternoon. At Kristiania Lech wellness is a way of life; one that is all about feeling good in body and soul.
Alpenglühen: As night falls slowly over the mountains, feel the awe as the sky turns blood red and the Alpenglow gives way to starry skies, campfires, canyoning through the wild rivers and a hunk of mountain cheese after a day in the fresh air. This is the kind of freedom that moves you. That earns you: Luxury private moments.
Mountain Golfing: Imagine: Early in the morning, when the first rays of sunshine over the Rote Wand mountain illuminate the Zug valley and you stand on the fairway and hit the ball over the Lech river. The perfect start to the day. Each tee opens up new perspectives on the surrounding mountains and nature.
Fishing in Lech & Learning to be patient: Crystal clear waters, wild creeks and the tranquil and flowing waters of the Arlberg invite anglers to try their luck. The river Lech, a typical mountain stream, Spuller and Formarin lake are a paradise for fly fishers.

PICNIC IN THE SNOW
Here’s an unconventional experience for the adventurous pleasure seekers desiring a romantic touch. Watch the awe-inspiring Arlberg mountains from a reclining position on colourful rugs surrounded by a sea of flowers. You’ll be sure to stay warm with a fire bowl beside you during sunrise and some delicious cuisine and champagne inside you during sunset!

ART & CULTURE
Art & Adventure: Take a hike to landart of James Turrell's Sky Space Lech and to Antony Gormley’s France man sculpture. Your guide will make sure you take the best route, share their artistic insights… and treat you to a glühwein or champagne picnic.
Art parks in our Garage: Höhenflug. A little exhibition in the Garage in collaboration with art gallery Sturm & Schober Vienna showing artists Beatriz Olano, Gerald Moser, Vanessa Henn, FFM (Filderbahnfreundemöhringen), Herbert Egl, Nina Rike Springer, Sven Braun, Dave Bopp, Wolfram Ullrich, Stefan Zsaitsits, Károly Keserü, Astrid Köppe and Thomas Gänszler, Gerald Moser, and many more. Private Dance Club: Book our private club and enjoy the spirit of St. Tropez at 1,444m. You are sure to stay in high spirits with the sounds from our resident DJ and a magnum bottle of Champagne for two.
Art @ Home: For those wishing to explore art in the sanctuary of the hotel, Gertrud Schneider invites you to Kristiania’s garage gallery, where the resident artist can personally guide you through their work. Combined art and culinary experiences are also scheduled for this winter, so make sure to check our events page!

THE GRAND FINALE
Soiree Gastronomique in total privacy. Our secluded, top floor owner's suite is surrounded by nothing but privacy with a marvellous view on untamed nature; exclusively yours for an evening of joy. It’s magical: just you, our chefs, snow flakes wheeling in the sky in winter and the last sun rays dancing on your face in summer. Delicious products from our like-minded suppliers. Take a bite, sip a perfectly crafted cocktail, tuck into freshly-made food, lounge on the sofa, start an inspiring conversation… whatever, really. It’s up to you.
