The guest rooms at THE LAKOTAN are designed by architect Koji Yamamoto, born in Otaki Town, Chiba Prefecture.
Koji Yamamoto designed the rooms as it blend into the nature and incorporate the traditional culture of Japanese-style houses and nordic furniture.
The minimal interiors with the warmth of wood are flooded with natural light, creating a quiet and relaxing space. With rooms blended into the forest,
and wall full of windows that offers view of the bamboo grove and garden, and HIRAKI offers view of the maple and cedar trees, and nearby mountains, you

The water used in the outdoor baths and sauna spa in the guest rooms is drawn from a well 80 meters underground on the premises of THE LAKOTAN. The water are from the mountains, filtered through many layers of strata over many years, contains abundant minerals such as vanadium, potassium, and magnesium, and is expected to warm the body from core and lead it to a body with good circulation.
